The St. Albert Jr. B Rams are on a bit of a roll. The
Jr. B Rams were dominating against the Prince George
Posse on Sunday afternoon beating the Posse 10 – 3.
The Jr. B Rams were out to avenge a loss to the Posse
in Prince George earlier in the season. The Posse handed
the Jr. B Rams an 8-6 loss on May 16th and
the Rams were determined that wouldn’t happen again.
The Jr. B Rams put forward their best defensive effort
this year. The defense allowed one goal in the first
period, two goals in the second and shut the Posse down
in the third.
Goaltender David Marrese was stellar in net making
a number of key saves. The Jr. B Rams were very patient
on offense scoring only two goals in the first period.
The offense kicked into high gear as the Rams scored
5 goals in the second period. The third period saw the
Jr. B Rams score 3 goals while their defense gave up
none.
Kurtis Pederson led all scorers with a 5 point night
( 2G & 3 A). Tim Cassios, Jeremy Gosselin and Eric
Wawrychuk each added 2 goals. Jared Domino and Ryan
Donald rounded out the scoring for the Rams with one
apiece. Ryan Polny and Bryan Watts each had 3 assists.
The Jr. B Rams are on a bit of a roll as of late. They
are 3-1-1 over the last 5 games. The improved play of
the Jr. B Rams has allowed them to move into 3rd
place in the RMLL Jr. B Division, one point ahead of
their long time rivals the Sherwood Park Titans. The
two teams meet on Wednesday June 2nd @ 8:00PM,
Akinsdale Arena. The Rams have won the only meeting
of the season between these two teams.
Come out and watch the Jr. B Rams and Jr. Titans clash
in what should prove to be an excellent lacrosse game.
Every time these teams meet it is an exciting affair.
